Green-Works is a national not for profit enterprise recycling office furniture.

The operation in Peterlee, County Durham, aims to provide good quality furniture to groups who need it. It also provides a service removing unwanted furniture from commercial operations that would otherwise have to pay to have it taken away and it prevents landfill sites becoming full of perfectly usable items.

But another critical aim is to provide jobs in an area, which has suffered from historic decline and loss of employment.
